We are excited to announce a set of bespoke training workshops designed to help SVE members effectively configure and use Xero, a powerful accounting software that can be tailored for social enterprises. Whether you are part of a Community Interest Company or a registered charity, this training will equip you with the essential skills to account for, and report on financial activity with ease.

Why Attend? Currently, many of our members rely on a spreadsheet tool for financial management. These workshops will provide hands-on experience in transitioning to Xero, allowing for improved efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Training Structure The workshops will be delivered by David Nicholls, Brett Nicholls Associates, and conducted over four interactive Zoom sessions. These sessions will be recorded and made available to participants for future reference.

Session Outline:

Introduction to Xero – Wednesday, 19 March | 10:00 – 12:00

Configuration & Setup – Wednesday, 26 March | 10:00 – 12:00

Data Entry & Reporting – Wednesday, 2 April | 10:00 – 12:00

Review & Follow-Up – Wednesday, 9 April | 10:00 – 11:00

Practical Considerations

- The training will be delivered via Zoom with screen sharing capabilities.

- Participants will need to subscribe to a free 30-day trial of Xero after the first session.

- Homework will be assigned after each of the first three sessions.

- Contact details will be provided for additional support between sessions.

- Investment & Registration The total cost of the workshops for each organisation will be £50, this has been heavily subsidised by SVE.
