Trauma-Informed Parenting Training
We are delighted to extend a warm invitation to you for an upcoming event that promises to be both enlightening and empowering. HSTAR Scotland is organising a Trauma-Informed Parenting training session hosted and delivered by TIP. Workshop is designed to provide you with relevant knowledge, tools, and ideas to support the young people. This training is invaluable for anyone seeking to understand and address the needs of children and teens displaying challenging behaviours due to trauma or additional needs.
During this free 4-hour session, which includes a self-care refreshment break, we will delve into the principles of Trauma-Informed Parenting. Our goal is to foster an environment where mental health and wellbeing are prioritized, allowing for the interruption and transformation of generational patterns of behaviour. Through a trauma-informed lens, we aim to equip you with strategies to approach challenging behaviours with curiosity, calm, and connection, benefiting all children, not just those affected by trauma.
Why Attend?
- Gain Insight: Understand the impact of trauma on children and learn how to apply trauma-informed techniques in parenting and caregiving.
- Build Skills: Acquire practical tools and ideas to support the mental and emotional well-being of the young people you care for.
- Change Patterns: Learn how to change generational patterns of behaviour, creating a more supportive and understanding environment for children.
- Earn CPD Points: Participants will receive 4 CPD points, along with a certificate of attendance, acknowledging your commitment to professional development and child welfare.
This training is a must-attend for anyone living or working with children, or would like to support other carers and parents, providing a unique opportunity to enhance your understanding and approach to parenting and caregiving.
While the event is free, we would greatly appreciate any donations to help us continue offering these valuable resources to our community.
