calendar icon 24 January 2024
From 10:00 am until 12:00 pm

Venue – The Barracks Conference Centre, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ

The Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland will be delivering a number of Cyber Roadshows, which are fully funded by Scottish Government, one of which will take place in Stirling in January next year. The Roadshows will walk you through general cyber security and incident response. After a short break, we will work through an NCSC exercise in a box. These exercises allow organisations to test and practice their response to a variety of cyber-attacks. It is completely free and you don't have to be an expert to use it. It recreates real-world business scenarios with probing questions attached to each scenario and allows your organisation to test its cyber resilience.

In this session, our ethical hackers will spend 60 minutes running through what Exercise in a Box is, and some of the scenarios, recreating what it would be like to run a full session. The session will be engaging, and audience participation will be welcome as we run through the questions attached to the scenarios.

Topics covered will include password security, identifying and reporting phishing emails, secure remote working, and responding to ransomware attacks.

Remember, you don’t need to be a cybersecurity expert! We aim to enable collaborative discussions that further your knowledge and help you identify areas of improvement.
