Aim: To understand the general and specific duties and responsibilities of a charity trustee, under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005

Objectives:

‒       To understand the definition of a trustee

‒       To understand what is expected of a trustee in terms of conduct

‒       To gain an understanding of trustees’ duties and responsibilities

‒       To be aware of the rules on charity trustee remuneration

This workshop is suitable for new trustees, those wishing to become trustees and long standing trustees who wish to find out more about their duties and responsibilities in terms of the governance of charities.  This workshop is available to organisations and their trustees who are based in Stirling.

Please note the new Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023 is starting to come into force over the next year and a half.
