Child Protection for the General Contact Workforce
The workshop is for staff from organisations that may come into contact with children or young people, or are involved with their parents or carers, as part of their role.
The workshop is also for people who are interested in safeguarding training and have not had any previous child protection training, or who are in need of a refresher.
The learning outcomes are:
- To develop an awareness of the national policies and local procedures in child protection.
- How to recognise the signs and indicators of child abuse and neglect.
- To have an understanding of your role in child protection and be aware of the referral process and how to report concerns / disclosures.
