Supporting a Mentally Healthy Workplace: National Learning Network for Employers
The next session of the Supporting a Mentally Healthy Workplace National Learning Network for employers will take place on Thursday 30 January 2025 from 09:30-11:00am. This is a joint initiative delivered by Public Health Scotland, Scottish Government and See Me.
The event will focus on Suicide Prevention and Mental Health and Money Worries. Death by suicide is approximately three times more likely among those living in the most socio-economically deprived areas in Scotland, than among those living in the least deprived area.
At the event, we will hear from Haylis Smith, National Delivery Lead for Creating Hope Together which is Scotland’s national suicide prevention strategy. Haylis will speak about the social determinants of suicide, the link between suicide and money worries, and the role of employers in supporting anyone in their workforce affected by these issues.
This will be followed by a panel session - attendees will be able to put questions forward to a panel who will share their own perspectives and views on the topic.
Please note that this session will be hosted on MS Teams. Register for your place here.
A calendar invitation for the session will be sent a few days before the session.
