Motability Facilities in Stirling

Following a reduction in Stirling Council's financial support to the Shopmobility Service of more than 50%, and in order to continue delivering a slmilar service, a number of important changes are being made. These changes will take effect from 6th May 2013.

Key Changes:

  • The service will now only operate Monday to Friday.
  • Charges for the use of equipment with effect Monday, 6th May.

Summary of Charges: 

  • STIRLING COUNCIL RESIDENTS: A membership of £5 per annum will be introduced for Stirling Council area residents. Thereafter they will be charged a reduced hourly rate of £ 1 per hour for hire of equipment.
  • NON STIRLING COUNCIL RESIDENTS: No annual membership fee is paid, but an but hourly rate £ 1.50  will be due for the hire of equipment.


 

Human Rights Toolkit for Disabled People

Inclusion Scotland have launched their human rights toolkit at the Scottish Parliament. The toolkit, which has been developed in consultation with disabled people from around Scotland, aims to provide them and their advocates with the tools they need to realise their human rights to live independently.
