Congratulations to (SVE) for putting on an excellent evening of celebration for the amazing volunteers in Stirling.  It was fantastic to meet the individuals who were behind the applications and to hear from their own words, the difference they make for others, through using their own time and skills.

New TripAdvisor Site for Disability Access

A new website set up by a Scottish wheelchair user will offer reviews of the disability access of pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions.

Euan MacDonald, who has motor neurone disease, said visiting pubs, restaurants, hotels and visitor attractions has become much more difficult since he became a wheelchair user four years ago. Alongside his sister, Kiki, MacDonald has now set up a website to review venues and their facilities in a TripAdvisor style.

The site enables users to rate the accessibility, toilets and staff at a venue and also whether a range of different facilities are available including sign language, large print, accessibly parking, dedicated seating, and whether assistance dogs are welcome.

Other disabled people are also being encouraged to post reviews on the Euan's Guide site.
